Music on Drugs

Nowadays it's widely perceived that most if not all artists of all forms us drugs to take them to that "place" of creativity, that "place" of ecstasy and joy to help them write the next psychedelic hit. And with pot no longer really becoming a drug it is widely available to just about anyone who has a good eye and a smooth tongue at Venice Beach. Most artist take a hit, grab the pen and paper and sit behind the piano to express themselves, and half the time the drug of choice may help but not for this band. With Glyn at the helm of all the writing, creating and producing of the music, he does it sober as a fox. Having never used drugs some listeners find it hard to believe that someone can enchant another with a base state of mind. Now Glyn himself has never stated this his work is the ultimate poetry but he does see it as a work of art. Trying to tell a story through vivid lyrics, while keeping the blues concept at the forefront is by no means an easy task. So how does one create good music without getting loaded and having a four day acid trip... Glyn has a simple answer. "I use several techniques when it comes to writing a new song. The best is to take a shot of whiskey and call up or text your ex-lover. Once you do that you both play catch up, reminisce about the past, laugh, cry, argue, take another shot of whiskey and both end on a sad note. And then... do it all over again to produce a wonderful song about Super Nova and Purple Monkey Rocket ships." The band doesn't knock those who write under the influence, in fact they seem to have fun listening to peoples crazy stories about on acid trips or how they fought a dragon one night in Havana, Cuba. So if you can't afford drugs and need to write a fun, crazy rock song, text the Ex and get to writing.
